New Hitman Game Gets a Release Date With A Slightly Confusing Release Plan

There were a lot of rumors about new Hitman game. Firstly, the game was planned for a December 2015 release, but that’s changed. The other part of the news and rumors, the plan to release the actual game in parts and not as a whole package, hasn’t changed.

The new release date for the game is March 11th, 2016. But there’s more to it than you think. March 11th will only be the release date for the first part of the game, called “the INTRO PACK” which will cost $34.99. The Intro Pack will include “three locations – Paris, Sapienza and Marrakesh – featuring six campaign missions. For Contracts mode, you’ve got a combined pool of around 800 targets to craft your devious Contracts from, which means we’re expecting fantastic things.” In addition, with the purchase of the Intro Pack, gamers will have access to Hitman Live weekly events. We are not certain if persons that’ll buy the intro pack will have access to the live events after April 2016.
After the first part of the game is released, there will be three additional locations available in April (Thailand), May (USA) and June (Japan). In addition to the locations, there will be new campaign missions, contract mode targets and signature hits. The post-

launch content will be available for $29.99. It is not stated whether the new locations will be available as a single purchase, but if you want both packs at the same time they will be available for $59.99. If you pay the full price, you’ll have access to the beta (which is planned only for PC and PS4), and will save $5 (yay!)

In other words, you can buy the Intro Pack, see if the game is good enough and then decide if the additional content is worth $29.99 price mark. Or you can just pay the full game price and have access to all of the content.

The only problem with this release plan, if the release notes are correct, is that if you want to play just the campaign you’ll have to pay the full price for the game because new campaign missions are part of the post launch content. And let’s not talk about Hitman’s confusing release plan for the game, which you can see here.
All in all, this is very perplexing, but down below is the infographic to aid your mind in understanding all of this. The game will be out for PC, PS4 and Xbone.
